Erwin Renz Metallwarenfabrik GmbH & Co KG is the number 1 in the German and European letter and parcel box industry. We contribute to our partner's success with a faytech® brand touchscreen solution.

faytech® has a broad portfolio of touch PCs and touch monitors. However, standard solutions do not always meet the requirements of specific use cases.

The myRENZbox, a scalable letter and parcel box system for apartment buildings and residential complexes, is often operated in outdoor and semi-outdoor areas. There, the metal construction and operating panel have to prove themselves under demanding conditions.

That is why we have developed a special 8.4" touch PC for the myRENZbox. It is based on the Intel Atom microarchitecture and ismanufactured in our own factory .

The faytech® system is weatherproof, i.e. it is equipped for ambient temperatures from -20 C° to +75 C°and its front is fully protected against dust and splash water (protection class IP65).

At our customer's request, we can supply the system with a pre-assembled frame and pre-assembled seal.

This enables the time-saving and cost-effective integration of the touch PC into the cut-out of the letter and parcel box system.

The faytech® for Renz is thanks to ceramic screen printing and a light intensity of 1000 cd/m²  under direct sunlight applicable (direct sunlight suitable). For the Optical bonding of touch and LCD panels, we use our own patented liquid adhesive CLEARBOND.

These features in combination guarantee high legibility of the screen content and therefore good usability of the user interface even in very bright light. A 6 mm thick cover glass with a hardness of 7H and an impact resistance of IK08 protects the system from damage.

We have equipped the faytech® touch PC with Wifi and LTE modules for wireless connection of the myRENZbox to ERP systems and neighborhood solutions. As the Renz Group is environmentally conscious, we ship the touch PCs in plastic-free and recyclable packaging.
