  1. Where the CoC applies

    1. This CoC applies to all Pyramid subsidiaries and business units.
    2. Pyramid is committed to promoting compliance with the contents of this CoC among its suppliers and in other parts of the value chain at every possible point.
  2. Core values

    Pyramid will proactively work to ensure that the values set out below are put into practice and adhered to both now and in the future.

    1. Compliance with laws

      Pyramid complies with the applicable laws and other legal requirements of the country in which it operates.

    2. Integrity and organizational leadership

      1. Pyramid bases its activities on generally accepted ethical values and principles, in particular integrity, honesty, respect for human dignity, openness and non-discrimination on the basis of religion, ideology, gender and ethnicity.
      2. Pyramid rejects corruption and bribery and uses appropriate means to promote transparency, integrity, good governance and corporate accountability.
      3. Pyramid pursues clean and recognized business practices and fair competition, with a focus on professional conduct and high quality standards.
    3. Consumer interests

      Where consumer interests are concerned, Pyramid complies with consumer protection regulations and appropriate sales, marketing and information practices.

    4. Communication

      Pyramid communicates in an open manner. All documents and information are properly presented, not improperly altered or destroyed and properly stored. Company secrets and business information of customers and partners are treated sensitively and confidentially.

    5. Human rights

      Pyramid is committed to the promotion of human rights, in particular the following:

      1. Privacy: Protection of privacy.
      2. Health and safety: Ensuring health and safety at work, in particular ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, avoiding accidents and injuries.
      3. Harassment: Protection of employees from corporal punishment and physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.
      4. Freedom of conscience: Protection and guarantee of the right to freedom of conscience and freedom of expression.
    6. Working conditions

      Pyramid adheres to the following basic labor standards.

      1. Child labor: The prohibition of child labor, i.e. the employment of persons younger than the legally required age.
      2. Forced labor: The prohibition of forced labor of any kind.
      3. Wage compensation: labor standards relating to remuneration, in particular with regard to the level of remuneration as defined in the applicable laws and regulations.
      4. Employee rights: Safeguarding employees' rights to freedom of association, freedom of assembly and collective bargaining, insofar as this is legally permissible and possible.
      5. Prohibition of discrimination: Non-discriminatory treatment of all employees.
    7. Working hours

      Pyramid adheres to the labor standards regarding the longest permissible working hours.

    8. Protecting the environment

      Pyramid complies with the requirements and standards for environmental protection that apply to its activities and acts in an environmentally conscious manner at the locations where it operates.

    9. Civic engagement

      Pyramid contributes to the social and economic development of the countries and regions in which it operates.

  3. Implementation and application

    Pyramid will make all reasonable and appropriate efforts to implement and apply the principles and values described in this CoC now and in the future. The contractual partners will be informed of the basic measures upon request and within the framework of mutual cooperation. There is no right to disclosure of trade or business secrets relating to competition or other information requiring protection.
