On August 27, 2024, Arne Weber, founder of Pyramid Computer's cousin faytech and CTO of Pyramid Computer parent company Pyramid AG, won the prestigious "Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award for Best Sci-Tech Innovation" at the 5th Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurs Awards.
The "Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award for Best Sci-Tech Innovation" is an award presented at the Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurs Awards organized by the Guangdong-HK-Macau Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance. The award recognizes young entrepreneurs in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) for their outstanding innovations in science and technology. The award is in line with the GBA's goal of becoming a global innovation hub by recognizing contributions that promote regional growth and cross-border cooperation in science and technology.
"I am incredibly surprised and even more honored to receive this award. My special thanks to the judges and Frank Chen for encouraging me to apply. For companies of our size, the markets are big enough to reward those who stay active, and that's us - this year we are transacting two and a half times as much in China on a monthly average as last year. I would like to thank everyone involved, especially my employees, but of course also our entire supplier network. We are working hard on our future and I am looking forward to the innovations that we will bring to the market this year," said Arne Weber on receiving the award.
Arne Weber's technological innovation work at faytech attracted the attention of a jury of over 20 representatives from various major companies, who selected him as the winner from a pool of 1,300 applicants.
He also had the opportunity to exchange views with Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance.
