Our POLYTOUCH® FLEX21.5 self-service kiosk was the focus of a pilot project launched by the Finnish restaurant chain in collaboration with its software partner Frendy at a restaurant in the Kupittaa district of Turku.
Over several months, the compact and space-saving FLEX21.5 was put through its paces as a self-order terminal in live operation. The focus was on the usability of the hardware and software for guests with and without disabilities.
The result of the pilot proved the kiosk to be an ideal self-service checkout and more than satisfied Hesburger: even under challenging lighting conditions, the touchscreen presents Frendy's intuitive ordering software clearly, with high contrast and very easy to read. Furthermore, the terminal enables all guests to serve themselves equally - regardless of age, size or physical limitations.
We are delighted that our FLEX 21.5 will offer guests a barrier-free, convenient and fast ordering experience in other Hesburger restaurants in the future.
The FLEX21.5 is the second POLYTOUCH® terminal that Hesburger uses as a self-service kiosk in its restaurants. The POLYTOUCH® PASSPORT 32 has been optimizing the Finnish fast food provider's processes in the Baltic States for several years and, more recently, in Romania.
