Then PLS LOCALIZATION is your first choice. LOCALIZATION tracks a person in real time using their puck. Every change in position is registered immediately. The waiter can find the guest even if they have moved from the indoor area to the outdoor area of your restaurant. Or the sales assistant can precisely guide the customer who is waiting for advice while exploring the area.

LOCALIZATION can be easily expanded to include one or more POLYTOUCH® kiosk terminals with an internal or external puck dispenser. Food orders, requests for advice or service orders are then no longer recorded by the staff, but directly at the terminal, which dispenses the pucks via the linked dispenser.

For existing systems Integration of external puck dispensers

External puck dispensers can be seamlessly integrated into existing kiosk terminals to make the ordering process more efficient. Once an order is completed at the kiosk, a puck is automatically dispensed to locate the guest or customer. This integration makes it possible to expand the self-service process without having to change the existing infrastructure.

Localization of pucks with AoA and locators (antennas)

Pucks (e.g. for ordering in restaurants or self-service areas) are localized using Angle of Arrival (AoA) technology and special locator antennas. The position of the puck is determined by measuring the angle of the signals received.

This principle is illustrated in the diagram provided: Several permanently installed locator antennas (top left and right) receive the signals from a puck that is located on a specific table, for example. The exact position of the puck can be calculated using the different angles of incidence (AoA) at the antennas. These angles are visualized by dashed lines and the green and pink angles.

Real-time visualization of localization

The localization of pucks is displayed visually on a screen in real time, as shown in the picture. The floor plan of the store shows the exact locations of the active pucks (colored markers), while details such as order time and waiting time are displayed on the left.

This overview enables staff to bring orders to the right table quickly and efficiently. The system can be flexibly adapted to different store layouts and helps to optimize processes and increase customer satisfaction.

Central monitoring and analysis

The system not only offers real-time localization, but also comprehensive monitoring and analysis tools. Operators can monitor all locations centrally, which is particularly beneficial for chain stores. Operating data, order times and system performance can be viewed and compared in real time via a central platform.

These functions enable fast response times in the event of disruptions, the optimization of work processes and sound data analyses to improve efficiency. Store managers and central management teams can thus maintain an overview of all processes at all times and make targeted adjustments.
