When it comes to self-service, many people think of the classic end-consumer scenarios in franchise restaurants and retail.
With the new terminals, we are responding to the increasing demand from the logistics sector and the logistics departments of large companies for kiosk solutions for indoor and outdoor areas.
Our systems enable drivers and warehouse staff to carry out numerous self-service processes. For example, truck drivers can convert their freight documents into digital format directly at the terminal so that they are immediately transferred to the ERP and are available there for further processing. In return, the terminal display shows them the gatewhere they have to deliver and the route to get there.
All models in the new product line are based on our weatherproof OUTDOOR. Their advantages include the steel and aluminum chassis, the C4 corrosivity category coating, the sophisticated sealing concept, the heating and cooling system and the robust CEE coupling for connection to the power grid.
It is part of our Quality strategyfor POLYTOUCH® Hardware from the Ecosystem our in-house brands to be used. For the logistics terminals, the 19" full HD touchscreen from our brand faytech®. The display is optically bonded, direct sunlight suitable and presents the screen content with a brightness of 2500 cd/m2. We thus guarantee optimal readability even under direct sunlight. As IPC we have opted for the BoxFlex S our brand AKHET® decided. The compact and powerful system with 64-bit Intel® Core™ CPU works with DDR4 RAM and in temperature ranges up to +50° C.
The peripherals of the individual models are based on the typical use cases (indoor and outdoor) in everyday logistics. We have equipped the delivery terminal with a high-resolution document scanner for precise scanning of freight documents, and the delivery terminal with a printer for automated transfer of freight documents. If necessary, the driver can also be given specific instructions along the way.
The third system of our new product line we have Truck Terminal baptized. It serves the pure Check-in and /Check-outThe driver logs in with his identification document via the scanner, gains access to the site (barrier control) and receives instructions for loading or unloading. In order to Check-in and check-out from different cabin heights the terminal is equipped with two faytech® Touchscreens (brightness 1000 cd/m2. One Intercom system is included in the scope of delivery.
The terminals are also available as indoor versions (freight terminals, cross-docking centers...) and can be configured and purchased in our B2B portal.
