1 Foreword

Pyramid Computer GmbH to its responsibility for protecting the environment and the sustainable use of resources. This guideline forms the framework for the environmental management system (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and supplements the integrated management system of Pyramid Computer GmbH binding principles of environmental and climate protection.

Our goal is to minimize environmental impact and actively contribute to preserving our natural resources.

2 Objective

The environmental management system at Pyramid Computer GmbH to prevent, reduce, or offset environmental pollution and to continuously improve our company's environmental performance. Our environmental goals are:

• Compliance with all relevant environmental and other binding obligations.
• Careful and efficient use of energy, water, materials, and other resources.
• Reduction of waste, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
• Promoting environmentally conscious behavior among all employees.
• Continuous improvement of environmental performance through measurable targets.

3 Scope of application

This guideline applies to all business areas, processes, and services of Pyramid Computer GmbH its locations in Freiburg and Amt Wachsenburg.
It applies to all employees, including management, staff, trainees, interns, and external service providers.

4 Responsibilities

• Management bears overall responsibility for the environmental management system, provides the necessary resources, and promotes sustainable environmental awareness.
• The Environmental Management Officer (EMO) is responsible for the introduction, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the EMS.
• Managers ensure that environmental requirements are met in their areas of responsibility.
• Every employee is obliged to observe the environmental principles in their daily work and to actively contribute to improving environmental performance.

5 Fundamental environmental principles

• Sustainability: We act responsibly to balance environmental, economic, and social concerns.
• Resource efficiency: We strive to use energy, materials, and water sparingly and efficiently.
• Climate protection: We are continuously reducing our CO₂ emissions and promoting the use of renewable energies.
• Prevention and recycling: We prevent waste and emissions wherever possible and promote recycling and reuse.
• Legal certainty: We comply with all legal, regulatory, and other binding obligations.
• Communication: We inform employees and external partners openly and transparently about our environmental goals and performance.

6 Training and awareness raising

All employees receive regular training on environmental issues, at least once a year, in order to promote a high level of awareness of sustainable practices and ecological responsibility.

7 Obligation of management

The management of Pyramid Computer GmbH to consistently implementing, regularly reviewing, and continuously improving the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015. It ensures that all necessary resources are provided to achieve the environmental objectives and that all employees are actively involved in the implementation.
