This year, Pyramid is Pyramid foregoing Christmas gifts for customers and partners. Instead, we are supporting the Tiger Heart... when parents have cancer by the Freiburg Tumor Center – CCCF at the University Medical Center Freiburg. We are continuing a tradition that we have maintained since 2022. Previously, we made donations on a case-by-case basis.
Tiger Heart is a psychosocial counseling and support program for families with a parent who has cancer. Tiger Heart creates safe spaces where fears, worries, joy, community, and security can be experienced and shared.
The services provided by educational and medical professionals include comprehensive individual and group programs for children and adolescents, as well as counseling and support for parents. These parents have to cope with a life that has been completely changed by the diagnosis. And: Tiger Heart continues to care for families even after the death of the sick parent.
The costs of Tiger Heart are covered by donations from companies, associations, and private individuals. The services are therefore available to all families, regardless of their financial situation.
