12/06/2025 40 years of Pyramid: Innovation as a trademark and success factor

For more than four decades, the Pyramid Computer GmbH has stood for technological progress and pioneering IT solutions. From the beginnings to the latest product innovation: our history is characterized by a pioneering spirit, practical development and innovative strength.

With BenHur, the world's first Linux-based multifunctional server, we presented a real novelty at CeBIT in 1998. This technological milestone was honored with the Innovation Award of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 2000.

2002 followed BenHur2. In a comparison test by the Internet Professional (02/2005), the system confidently against four competitors and in the same year received the renowned CyberOne Award.

Our passion for innovation is reflected in the numerous awards we received before and after BenHur.

With a clear view of the needs of the markets and a keen sense for future-proof technologies, we shape digital progress.

At this year's EuroCIS, we presented the POLYTOUCH® PIXI 15.6 - a mini kiosk with a footprint smaller than an A4 sheet of paper- as the latest innovation in the self-service terminal sector.

The budget-friendly PIXI is probably the world's smallest self-service system for self-ordering in franchise restaurants, self-checkout in retail and self-check-in in healthcare.
