Pyramid Computer GmbH has been a recognized expert in the field of accessible digital self-service solutions for over a decade. Our innovative kiosk terminals comply with both the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and the new European Directive 2019/882, known as the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which comes into force in June 2025.
The ADA, a key law protecting the rights of people with disabilities in the US, and the EAA, which ensures greater accessibility in the European Union, set clear standards for the accessibility of products and services. These regulations require that digital and physical self-service solutions, including our kiosks, are fully accessible to all users, regardless of their physical abilities.
When developing our kiosks, we placed the highest priority on maximum accessibility. We understand the challenges that people with reduced mobility face when using digital services.
For over ten years, we have been committed to ensuring comprehensive accessibility at our kiosks. The self-service kiosks are designed to be comfortably accessible for both standing and seated users, including wheelchair users. The Storm Audio-Nav™ keypad is a keyboard that enables barrier-free use. The brightness and contrast of our touchscreens are optimized to ensure improved readability. Some kiosks also integrate voice control and audio support to optimize use for people with visual impairments. In addition, the kiosks are of a sufficient size for wheelchair users and are free of physical obstacles.
At Pyramid Computer , we strive to continuously improve the quality of our products and further optimize accessibility. For us, inclusion is not just a goal, but a fundamental principle that shapes our work.
